The value of claims management
Poorly managed claims can cost your business time and money.
As a partner of Keystone, our agency has access to dedicated resources that can review complicated claims and advocate coverage on your behalf. This integrated approach strengthens communication between the insurance carrier, our agency, and you to help improve the outcome of a loss. We advocate for the broadest interpretation of a policy to your benefit as an insured and can help identify areas where losses may be recoverable.
Case Sample:
An insured was claiming that the fire box in his furnace had cracked, resulting in fire damage to the furnace as well as smoke and soot damage to the ducts and home. The insurance company said the damage to the furnace wasn’t covered as it was a result of the wear and tear. We were able to present evidence that while the fire box itself wouldn’t be covered, the subsequent fire damage to the furnace should be paid. As a result of our intervention, the insurance company reversed their position and paid to repair the furnace after the initial denial.
Workers’ Compensation Claims
When workers’ compensation claims occur, good claims management can make a huge impact on an employee’s medical care, recovery time, and return to work.
- We coordinate with health providers and insurance companies to help control the cost of workers’ compensation claims through early involvement.
- We conduct audits of Third Party Administrator work comp programs to make sure benefits are paid properly and efficiently.
- We build Transitional Duty programs to help your business during an employee’s leave after a claim.
- We can also represent your business during hearings throughout the claims process.
